Using another company's DP-HDMI cable, bought from Revain a year ago, had all sorts of problems with the display port on the board last week. I spent hours looking for options to use a second monitor and connect remotely, switch cables, etc. Nothing worked. I called the motherboard manufacturer and complained and they offered to reset the cmos battery, clear the bios and start over with a clean build. If that fails, send an RMA. Gosh, and before opening the case, I ordered this DisplayPort to HDMI adapter. .Worked immediately. everything is back to normal.
