Review on Panasonic PV-V4611 Hi-Fi Stereo VCR with 4-Head Technology by Jerry Delic

Well-known brand at a great price

My old generic brand VCR recently became obsolete just after the one year warranty expired. This time I've decided to invest some extra money in a name brand device and I've always heard that Panasonic makes some pretty good VCRs. I have had no problems with this device after 3 weeks of intensive use. The picture and sound of the recorded material are of good quality. I couldn't set the clock to turn on automatically, probably because my local PBS station isn't working anyway. What is so difficult about setting the clock yourself anyway? The only complaint I have is, that the front of the device feels a bit flimsy as the plastic looks a bit cheap, especially the buttons, although I hardly ever use them as I use the remote more often. Another complaint about the remote control. There are just too many little buttons and I often find it difficult to know which one to press at night, even if it does light up, a good third party universal remote can fix that. Overall I'm happy with my purchase so far, assuming it lasts longer than the 13 months my last shared VCR lasted. This can be fixed with a good third party universal remote.
