I would like to start by saying this duvet is not ideal if you are looking for a heavy, soft and flawless duvet. You had better change the price range of your search. But the price suits me. I was looking for a thinner, lightweight duvet that could be machine washed (king size). We let our dog sleep with us - no judgment - so I needed a blanket that I could wash frequently and not have to send it to the dry cleaners. This fits the bill, it's quite soft and while not very heavy or warm, great for summer and layering. It had a few hanging ties at the hem right out of the box, but held up to multiple washes without further deterioration. I love dark gray too. If your expectations are met, you will love this blanket.
