Review on ๐ŸŒŠ Revitalizing and Safeguarding Formula: Meguiar's M5716SP Marine/RV Vinyl & Rubber Cleaner & Protectant, 16 oz by Anthony Heinrichs

Good product for weekly use but invest in a better product for occasional use.

Price: $7.62 I think it's a great deal, but is it the best product for boat vinyl? NO. I find it provides adequate sun protection with frequent use, but doesn't clean very well. The product leaves no shine and I personally like the look of the shine. We have a 1999 SeaRay Sundancer with original upholstery that is showing its age. I use vinyl cleaner/preservative almost every week. It gets expensive, but since the FL sun will damage your boat's vinyl, I find that any commonly used protectant will extend the life of the vinyl. My upholstery is porous and easily picks up stains, even dirt. We keep our boat covered when not in use, but it still gets dirty. This cleaner is not very clean, it does not remove stains. This is a prime example that 2 n 1 products will never work as well as two products designed for each task. It's reasonable for the price though and if your vinyl is newer then this product is likely to offer good non-greasy protection. I suggest using Meguiars between uses with the best product. As boat owners we can never have too many of these things on hand, for about $8 it's great to have this on hand, I'd pay $14.99 for it without hesitation. As long as the trigger works well, the smell is pleasant and not overpowering. It's also non-greasy, you don't realize you're applying it after rubbing it in.
