Good solution for sewage gas problems

These drains; while expensive; do what they say they do; They effectively stop sewer gases. Ease of installation is a relative term; while in Mexico we had to chip the concrete off a sloppy shower stall drain so we could even measure the size of the drain pipe before ordering. Proper measurement of the inside diameter (ID) of the tubing is critical before ordering. Be sure to check the green drain size range by OD for each unit you wish to order. Another 4" green drain installed; I had to modify the exhaust pipe; by removing the PVC edge, which took 1/2 hour in a restricted area. When the pipe was finally finished; Installation was actually quite simple, only took a minute. Again; Correctly measuring the inside diameter of the pipe before ordering was key to a successful installation. A friend said it works very well; their sewage gas problem, which has been going on for decades, is solved. I've heard that the silicone seal is easily deformed by bleach; Careful handling of cleaning agents is therefore required to ensure the longevity of the seal. For this reason; You might consider buying two; and have one ready as a spare. I really like green drains; smooth solution in the right application.
