I'm disappointed in this but I figured that's what I get when I buy something this cheap buy My new laptop doesn't have a CF card slot, but my camera still has it, so I've looked at it as an alternative to using a USB cable for my camera every time I wanted to upload photos. I took my blank card (Sandisk Ultra II 15mb/s 4GB) and took 2 pictures. I plugged in a USB reader to have it install the drivers, then I plugged in the CF card. I could see my DCIM folders and after 5 minutes I could see my filenames but when I tried to click on any of them Windows Photo Viewer froze. I waited 20 minutes for these two 3MB files to view. That didn't happen. I don't even want to know how fast the card would be if my card was full! For anyone wondering, this is on a Windows 7 machine with an i7 processor, 8GB of RAM and a USB 3.0 port (although I've tried this in 2.0 as well). Yes, I restarted the computer, removed and reinserted the card and reader.
