But it works. Best memory card reader

Bought for my wife to read CF cards on her new computer. The size of this reader is such that it was difficult to plug in without having to switch other USB connections. Since the USB ports were arranged in a 2 row by 3 column configuration, it had to be plugged into the bottom right port so the CF card wouldn't block the USB ports below and the reader itself wouldn't block the ports on the right blocked . It interferes a bit with the port on the right, but not enough to make it unusable. I…

Compact, quick and easy

I was skeptical about this little guy because it was quite cheap compared to some similar products. ordered it. I've used it about 5 times and it's been great. It transfers photos very quickly (much faster than connecting my camera via USB) and there were no bugs or issues. And Windows 7 recognizes it immediately. I especially like how small the device is as I can hide it in my camera bag. I still use it a few times a month and it lasts! Has only caused problems once. One of the tiny pins was…

Don't worry about memory card reader

Don't waste your money on this item. It lasted less than 6 months with very moderate use. Someone remarked that this reader was "retarded," and for lack of a better description, I agree. I don't know how to explain but the cards don't fit in the slot like you think they should. And the slot is big enough that you can put it in the wrong way which will bend the pins. My pins never really bent, I handled them very gently, but the whole plastic part that had the pins fell off. Completely…

Oh it might only work at frozen molasses speed

I'm disappointed in this but I figured that's what I get when I buy something this cheap buy My new laptop doesn't have a CF card slot, but my camera still has it, so I've looked at it as an alternative to using a USB cable for my camera every time I wanted to upload photos. I took my blank card (Sandisk Ultra II 15mb/s 4GB) and took 2 pictures. I plugged in a USB reader to have it install the drivers, then I plugged in the CF card. I could see my DCIM folders and after 5 minutes I could see my
