I bought this massager specifically for my neck so I'll look at it from that angle. Spinner handles can be too wide apart depending on the width of the neck. The distance between the handles when they are closest together is about 3.5 inches (see picture). Combined with the fact that the gripping surfaces are almost flat and there are only 2 grips per spinner (1 of which is also lower) they may not do a really deep massage. I've had a similar massager before that failed (so I bought this one ) and which had 4 handles per spinner, which were also more pointed. Although the handles in this old massager were about the same distance apart, mine was better. Also, if you have muscle pain, it's a good thing.
