It actually looks like a good soap base. This is the first time I have bought/used a soap base but it was exactly what I expected. It melted well, didn't solidify too quickly, and solidified just as it should. Doesn't lather as well as regular soap but lathers a little. However, it leaves a sticky feeling on the hands after use. My biggest complaint is that it doesn't smell very good at all and even after using a lot of essential oil it was difficult to smell good. It also arrived damaged. The packaging was torn and the soap base looked like it had been pre-melted. However, it was still usable, so I used it.
