It works but not as well as other diffusers I've used. I didn't like how big the surface area was and yet the bubbles only come out in a very small spot. It seems it might just be the size of this area. There are too many bubbles sitting on the surface of the water and I even pointed the filter drain directly at the bubble flow. This helps, but doesn't eliminate the appearance of bubbles everywhere. The other downside is that it's essentially a large bowl to collect anything floating in your tank, food, mulch, etc. If you want to be really efficient at dissipating CO2, get a CO2 reactor or diffuser that does diffused directly into your filter lines. Aquariums with green leaves sell much better.
