my 10 year old heater finally ran out so I looked around and bought this. I knew it was a problem as soon as I opened the box. The stench almost knocked me out. Sometimes the smell disappears when you turn on the device. Not this piece of shit! Yesterday I left it on for half an hour and my eyes and throat burned so badly I turned it off. I started my air purifier which shows a red bar when the air is bad and the red bar has been on for an hour. I decided to try the heating again and turned it on around two o'clock, pointing out the window. Now my living room stinks of chemical/plastic stinks and I have an air purifier and a fan to get rid of this stench which is making my sinuses ache, my eyes sting and my throat swell and burn. This piece of shit is back. Don't buy this. Pay more and get something decent.
