So disappointing. - Home Decor

I bought this based on the many positive reviews and I have to say I am completely disappointed. They are more like cork wood and are very soft. I handled them very gently after taking them out of the box and they were still crackling. The grain is also incredibly busy (see picture). They are more decorative than anything else so DO NOT expect to put anything heavy on them. I plan on leaving them for now since I've installed them, but will be looking for a sturdier wooden shelf for my coffee bar. Some positive aspects, instructions and installation were good, hence I gave 2 stars instead of 1.
