Good - The sole is flexible and offers excellent grip - The sole is black, not white. You look a lot cleaner. The upper of the shoe is made of a very soft yet durable material. They seem to be holding up pretty well. They are really very light and breathable. Keeps my feet cool and dry - Comfortable to walk on with flexibility and insole (not wide. See below) - Good arch support. Bad.- The laces are normal, do not stretch. The shoes don't stick together when you need to tie and untie them - The colored stripe on the toe post is only sewn along the bottom edge so it puckers and prides itself on the shoe - Waterproof? Give me a break. They are Mesh. They are about as waterproof as window grilles. You don't need it anyway, as hiking shoes need to be breathable. It's just embarrassing that they made such an outlandish claim. What other claims are fiction? - I have wide feet and these shoes are NOT wide. The size tag doesn't say "wide" either, just promotional text. I increased the size because I know imported shoes tend to be narrow and still not wide enough. More imagination. If your feet are of normal width, they will probably fit. Ugly - High Elastic? Not even close. Lots of flexing but almost no stretching. I couldn't even put them on until I untied the laces (which is why none of the photos I've included show them). My big old work boots are easier to put on than these. To me they are a complete failure at how easy it is for them. The whole idea of hiking shoes is that you can put them on and take them off, but still provide support for your shoes. They are so difficult to put on that I will rarely, if ever, wear them. Result; not quite a hiking shoe, not quite a running shoe, not quite an honest product description. If you have narrow feet and a normal instep, they can probably be worn. If you have wide or high feet, bother you.
