Update after first wash (and hang dry): some shrinkage. I washed it in the washing machine on the cotton/regular cycle and hung it out to dry. The lower front and back used to hit my knee, now they hit about mid-thigh. At the moment it looks more like a tunic than a dress. Covers the ass, but barely. Now you definitely need to wear it with leggings instead of tights. First Review: When I ordered this I assumed it would be thick and heavy material. There's no reason for that, except that the look reminded me of flannel. It's a thin fabric but seems strong enough. i like the length Front and back hit my knee, sides hit between thigh and knee. Rather modest in the chest. Pleasantly satisfied with this purchase. 5ft 7in, 166lbs, I ordered a medium and it fits well - not too tight and not too loose.
