I think I figured it out. When I received this item yesterday the first thing I did was lift it up in the air as I tried it and even held it upside down. The cards came out incredibly inconsistent, although I could "feel" my paper lined up perfectly every time. Here's what I think works. It should be lying flat and face up on the table. Make sure your paper is FULLY aligned, it's very easy to FEEL but it's actually hooked and not fully aligned. Even if your corners aren't perfectly straight, you should feel it. Use in good light! Also, the upright position allows excess paper to fall freely through the floor, I haven't had a clog so far. I did 8 turns of abuse last night and they were all different. I just took 40 turns in a row and they were all flawless and beautiful! I used 110 lb card stock.
