Does it really work
People really work. I took mine off the stand today while cleaning the boat and painting the center console and it kind of got wet from the hose spray and activated. I didn't realize it (middle of the day so didn't see the lights and the beep isn't very audible) until I went to my phone and saw the Coast Guard, my mother and older son calling me numerous times. Oops. In any case, it's good to know that if you follow the instructions, your life will be saved.
- This EPIRB should only be used in situations of serious and imminent danger to life. False alerts are life threatening and cause costly disruptions to search and rescue services. Deliberate misuse of the device may result in a fine.
