So high expectations for inkjet printer

I will edit this review once I attach pictures. Please wait! I've always been a PIXMA fan, but haven't had one in years as my HP LaserJet 454 did everything I needed to. I make custom background maps for custom figures, and for the most part everything worked perfectly on the HP LaserJet 454. I printed on semi-gloss photo sticker paper as I have done for many years. I wanted to try an inkjet printer, especially a tank printer, to save money on ink in the long run, so I switched to the new G620 and waited a month for the pre-order. The day came when I got a notification that it finally shipped! I got excited like we all do when we order something new and expensive. So I come home and here it is, quite a BIG box of Revain. I knew immediately what it was! I was so excited to take it inside and open it. As soon as it opened, it was there. the new G620, the printer I've been waiting a month for! I was very excited to open the box and customize it. Everything went smoothly. First, the printer is featherweight. Well, not exactly easy, but pretty easy. When pouring ink they adjust differently to not pour the wrong color into the wrong tank, but knowing how people are these days I could understand. Just turn on the news, you will understand why it was necessary to deceive him. After removing everything from the box and plastic, I reclosed the box and put it away for safekeeping. Yes we all do, don't judge. Setting up the printer is quick and easy. I got up and ran for 10 minutes. Now for the pros and cons of the printer. Canon, watch out! Pros: * Fairly cheap photo printer - compared to other 6-color printers, this one is cheaper, which is great for photo printing beginners. This printer has limitations which I will discuss below.* Footprint - The printer has a fairly average footprint of around 17 x 13 inches (approx), when fully open for printing it is around 17 x 22 inches (approx open compartment). . Front).* Lightweight - This item can be lifted out of the box with one hand (lifting the plastic), very easy to move. Due to its light weight, it remains quiet when printing. Remember those printers that shook your house from side to side?* Photo prints dry fairly quickly and the ink doesn't smear. I tried several prints on different papers. The plain paper was ink wet until it dried, but didn't smudge when I ran the test with my thumb. The photo paper is dry to the touch, but a bit "stubborn" and leaves no marks. Took 30 seconds to a minute and it was dry with no thumb stains. I love it!* Bright colors. With 5 colors and 1 no color (black), normal colors look great! Black color see below. Cons: * No touch screen. You'd think a $300 printer might have a backlit touchscreen or something. My old $99 MAXIFY that I bought from Staples YEARS ago had a larger backlit touchscreen. Serious? Can't this model even fit a large backlit screen?* The print speed is SLOW - I get high quality, it may take a little longer to print, but the speed doesn't meet Epson or HP specs. Even on plain paper, black printing is slower.* Roller marks. Maybe it was just me, who knows, but from my first impressions it's awful. The print itself looks perfect, only very thin imprints can be seen, as if a roller had run over it. * Black looks matte - After a quality print I noticed that the blacks are not deep at all. In fact you can see the background through the black. I've tried several settings, they're all the same.* Scan quality - I've scanned some light cards (as I mentioned before, I make special boards to support the pieces). The scan just wasn't that great. It was good but not what I needed. I may have to play around with this feature, but based on my results I scanned 3 cards, all 3 cards were faded black and the colors were askew. My problem: I checked several prints, I find it amazing. Love it. So it's time to print real pictures on high-quality photo paper. I had my doubts about the quality. I could see marks on the prints, like a roller or something. I tried different types of paper, adjusted several settings and turned on the anti-smudge option in the settings. Nothing worked. I looked closely at the original test prints I made. I noticed that they also had problems. Bottom line: I think the $300 printer would be worth it for low to mid range photo printing, better suited for smaller images like wallets, 4x6 and maybe 5x7. I would have to do without a full-page print. The paper size limitation (8.5" x 11") with the ability to print borderless from 8.5" to 47" has its limitations. The company REALLY boasts about 4x6 printing and how much you can do without changing the ink. That's great, but why build a big printer just to show small print? I hope this review helps many. I hope you don't have some of the problems I had. My next trip, Epson ET-8550. We'll take a look at what it's like and you can find this review too!
