I've had several covers of the same design over the years and I think this really is the best overall design for preventing the dog from coming forward and collecting dirt, fur and water in one spot. When I bought these I was specifically looking for a cover that will protect tailgates like this one. I had no problems with this cover until I had two dogs in the back seat. In the middle of the cover there is a zipper that runs between the two front seats. When both dogs were standing in the middle of the blanket, the zipper failed and the blanket is now virtually useless. I'm looking for a similar case again, but without a zipper.
