Update September 2017 The manufacturer contacted me to replace it. They paid the postage and sent me a new one. Unfortunately, it's the same - a piece of crap. I've been using PUR mugs for longer than I can remember and none of them have been this badly made. It is clear that PUR did not test the end product so thoroughly, otherwise it would never have appeared. Or maybe they tried to enter the market with a low price? But that's a big mistake. So it goes in the bin and I have to decide whether to use polyurethane with a different model or move on to a better product. I have had many PUR jugs over the years and the fill in this one was poor. You need to pour slowly, don't tip too quickly, and leave the lid on or you'll end up with a mess. Oh, and make sure there is NO water at the top that hasn't been filtered out. It was cheap and too late for a refund. If I had known that, I would not have bought it. I wonder if any tests have been done?
