Basically I bought it to find out why big brown spots are appearing this year. A friend of ours recommended doing a soil pH test, reading the directions carefully, and digging about 3-4 inches underground, and it all turned out to be very alkaline. is not absorbed into the grass and does not stop its growth. But this meter was very easy to use and even has a small exposure meter, although it shoots all over the meter in bright and sunny weather. The soil moisture seems to be ok, but we will have 90° or more hot weather for the next few days. it will likely require additional watering and the use of some soil amendments and you'll see how it goes. I hope this device is accurate enough for us to estimate how much we need to level the floor 👍
