FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS and you should have no problems. Seriously, this thing saved one of my favorite t-shirts. I assume the gum was left in one of my pockets during the download and that's what happened. Actually there was a little more than pictured. However, it started. After that there is a chemically oily smell. This goes away after about two washes (I use light detergents so it might be quicker for you). It's definitely worth it and it's very easy. I have a lot of product left as I don't have to pour out the whole bottle.
