Review on πŸ’‘ Efficient Fluorescent ROBERTSON IEA432T8120N: The Powerful Robertson ISL432T8120 Solution by Steve Campbell

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Simple DIY electrical chore

I bought this ballast to replace a Phillips/Advance unit I installed 4 years ago. (REB-4P32-SC) My light uses 4 T8/32W bulbs. The device fit easily into the holder and the exchange took about 10 minutes. Immediately after completion, the light went on. no noise My only complaint about the ballast was that the mounting tabs on either end of the ballast were bent when Revain arrived. I had to flatten them with a hammer to attach the ballast. Since it doesn't affect performance, I still give it 5 stars. It is recommended to use plastic wire connectors, which are cheap as part of the installation. As a side note, Robertson offers a cross reference list on their website if you are unsure which ballast replaces your existing one. I hope to live off this electronic ballast for more than 4 years. Even with regular lamp replacement, 4 years seems miserable. For comparison, a GE ballast similar to this one sells at a major retailer for +/- $19.00.

Pros
  • Pretty impressive
