Large Resin Kit

I am very happy with my order of this UV Resin Kit. I like to test any new brand of UV resin right away for a good comparison. This is a great brand, thick formula that is difficult to cure. It does not form an oxygen-inhibiting layer and can be removed with tack after complete curing. I don't smell any lingering odor from the frozen pieces. It is not prone to yellowing from slight overexposure to UV radiation and is a crystal clear resin. I used this to mold a 1cm bead into a clear silicone mold. I used my UV 36 lamp for 3 minutes and had a great experience resulting in pearl affusions coming through with no bubbles. I try not to create bubbles with the eyedropper and remove them with a gentle suction from the eyedropper if they appear before curing. This is a nice set that also includes some very useful silicone tools. These are easy to clean. When I'm done, I expose the tools to UV light and scrape off the cured resin flakes. They can also be removed with tape and/or baby wipes with isopropyl alcohol. I also like the tweezers, which come in handy for placing inclusions in the resin. The included mini mold is great for making your own little gems for larger projects. Gloves are included but cannot be used more than once so make sure you have them on hand. Care should be taken when using resin. I use a well ventilated area that is my garage. I protect myself by wearing goggles, gloves, a respirator and covering myself with protective clothing. I blow air out of the work area with a powerful fan to disperse the resin fumes outside. I never use it in my house. The silicone mat protects my work surface. It can also be sun cured but curing time will vary depending on temperature, light exposure and humidity. Little things like jewelry. It can be used with any CLEAR silicone mold as it requires full UV penetration to cure. I can also add mica powder, a small amount of resin pigment gel and a small amount of glitter. I've learned to avoid lightfast pigments and pigments containing alcohol as they interfere with curing. I find this set very valuable and the resin gives excellent results when used correctly. For safety reasons, this product is intended for adults only. I hope you find my experience helpful if you kindly click the button below.
