Review on Ihoming Pre-Lit Christmas Tree 6ft - Artificial Xmas Tree w/ πŸŽ„ 400 UL-Certified Incandescent Warm White Fairy LED Lights - Holiday Party Home Decoration by Brenda Martinez

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Beautiful tree, quite EZ to build, "Fluffing " requires patience and is closer to 5 feet tall than 6 feet.

In over 40 years this is our first artificial Christmas tree. I would really prefer a live tree - we bought a few of these from a local tree farm and they usually work for two or three years and then we plant them. Two of them are now 40 or 50 feet tall and provide lots of shade for our backyard. There are also several seedlings. The forest farm is no longer in operation, and instead of buying a felled tree, my family voted for an artificial one. I didn't want an extravagant hundred dollar Christmas tree in case we go back to real trees next year (fingers crossed). I found this through the Vine program and it seems pretty good. I found it fairly easy to assemble; There are instructions, but they are not needed. Another reviewer mentioned having trouble removing the plastic grommet from the B-pillar that goes into the base. Mine separated easily so it's not an issue affecting every tree. I was able to put the first section on the base and tighten the three screws, but then I had trouble adding the second section - I just couldn't hold the section, align the rods, and hold the needles. wrapped aside around the pole at the same time, and my husband had to help with that. The last section was easy. The tree looked exactly like the "before fluff" photo below in the product description. In other words, pretty awful. But after lots of fluff (and I mean lots!) I think it looks pretty good, although the top still feels fuller than the bottom two. It takes a little more time and patience to separate and arrange the branches than I expected, but it makes a huge difference in how natural the tree looks. The light makes it much more beautiful, and after wearing the jewelry I think it will be very beautiful. The only real problem I have is that it has to be a six foot tree. I'm 5'4" and he's about 1" taller than me. Since the base is several inches high, it's probably more reasonable to think of it as a five-foot tree. It's not very big either, so it would be great for those who don't have much room for a tree. The base is not bulky, so covering it with a wooden skirt is easy. The tree appears to be quite sturdy, but certainly not safe from toddlers (or pets, for those with cats wanting to climb between the branches, or puppies wanting to attack the decorations). The needles are fairly short and light green, but this is not as noticeable when the tree is decorated. The steel ribs for the branches are also less visible when the decorations are on the tree. The needles are not too sharp or prickly, making the decorations easy to hang. Very heavy jewelry will not work. The Christmas tree is easy to disassemble after Christmas. The box the tree arrived in was in pretty bad shape and I couldn't use it for storage so I ordered a storage bag. I'd say it's a very good tree, but not a great one, and if my kids were little I'd probably want something a little more extravagant. The current price of $87.99 seems reasonable, but only if the tree is used year after year. I was a bit disappointed with the height of this tree and it will likely be the second tree (maybe the Grinch tree!) to be displayed on the covered porch next year.

Pros
  • FULL SHAPE AND REALISTIC LOOK
Cons
  • Not bad, but...
