I bought three pajamas for a family photo of 4, 5 and 7 year olds. A 4-year-old girl usually wears a very small or 5T; Boys aged 5 and 7 both wear small or 5/6 (the older one is slightly taller and slimmer but weighs about the same). I ended up getting size 7 for the boys and size 6 for her sister. When I opened the package I was worried they would be too small especially the tops but they are stretchy! The kids loved them and wore them from taking photos to going to bed. By law, children's pajamas must be either flame retardant (chemically treated) or form fitting. Sometimes it can be difficult to find the right option.
