This thing is AWESOME, Big Bang in a compact design. I really only got it for styling bangs; curly bangs can get out of hand in Louisiana's humid air. The last iron I had was the original chi in high school. I finally decided I needed a hot styling tool again to look more groomed for work. This little iron did not disappoint. It gets very hot for my very thick curls. 5 minutes and I look more like a manager than a poodle. And an absolute plus is a heat-resistant travel bag. For the price I don't think there is anything better on the market
