The fan is made of very cheap materials. The outer casing of the fan motor is made of very fragile plastic. The fan arrived with the housing broken in one place and the motor completely bent on the side. The blades are made of lightweight aluminum and flex easily. The fan housing was rough and unfinished. By this I mean the presence of sharp metal splinters on the outside of the cage where the metal wires meet. I discovered this when I took the cage out of the box and cut my fingers. The only thing that is heavy and durable about this fan is the round base. Made in China.
