Bought this guy to upgrade from ASUS GL-502VM. The build quality is leaps and bounds higher. The deck hardly flexes and seems very solid. Screen quality is good. I wish it had a 1440p display and/or G-Sync support, but at least it works well at 144Hz. As with other nVidia laptops, it works if you connect a G-Sync compatible display via DisplayPort. The included NVME SSD isn't very fast compared to the Samsung 960 EVO I replaced it with, but it's still faster. as SATA. Speaking of SATA, it offers the option to add your own 2.5-inch SATA SSD. Comes with a cage for it and a dedicated ribbon connector which is cumbersome as there are no SATA data connectors or power connectors on the motherboard. Installation is not very difficult, but requires care not to damage the ribbon connector latch. More about updates. You can upgrade the memory. At least partially. DIMM. I'm not sure if the 8GB is soldered to the motherboard or if there is a second DIMM slot on the other side of the motherboard. At first I thought they would. Keyboard so it is difficult to close it with hands. They can also be quite loud without distorting or vibrating the case. It took me a while to figure out how Aura works to change the keyboard backlight (and turn off the front light bar, which I find quite annoying). The CPU and GPU are fantastic keeping it cool and keeping the keyboard cool making it comfortable to game for long periods of time. Note that unlike Pascal maps, the mobile versions of these Turing maps are not the same as desktop maps. They have slightly less SU and clock speeds are slightly slower. The trackpad is glass and also has separate right and left buttons. It also uses Windows Precision drivers. It still has some issues that I can't solve yet (sometimes ignoring input for a second or two), but most people probably won't use it very often. Overall, I love this item and will probably use it for a few years to come.
