The sound quality of these headphones is wonderful, both on a computer and on a phone. The extension has a volume control and a mute button. I used headphones with a microphone to call my husband and he said that he can hear me very well, also sometimes when I call people I can hardly hear the conversation and with these headphones I hear perfectly.
