Be patient and give it time
My turtle tank was suffering from New Tank Syndrome where the water was constantly cloudy and didn't seem to be getting better after 2 months. I bought the EcoBio Stone medium hoping it would increase the number of microorganisms that help purify the water. After the first week it didn't seem to do anything at all and I almost gave up and declared it a failure. I'm so glad I have more time to do this because the second week I could see through the water better and by the end of the third week I could see rocks at the bottom of the tank. So be patient, give it time and you will see that it works!
