I bought these to mix with smoothies from my Ninja blender with large Use smoothie cups. long enough to reach the bottom of a smoothie cup and protrudes about an inch from the lid, which is the perfect length for me. The width is nice and wide, so it goes well with smoothies that have a milkshake consistency. Light Cons: The straw is NOT hard. If you want to suck the last inch of a smoothie, it's like trying to suck the smoothie out of soft noodles. Not very useful - difficult to clean. You really NEED to use a brush which is why I bought it separately online. Many other straws come with a cleaning brush.
