Got one of these as part of a 'kit' we were given at welding school. It gets the job done, never had any issues with stitching or anything else, but the adjustable plastic tab that keeps the hood from falling too far often digs into my ear, forcing me to adjust the hood. My headgear came loose and didn't hold up. So when I tried to raise the hood after welding, I ended up just pulling the entire hood off my head. The delay and sensitivity work as expected, but grinding or slicing with a flashlight will either cause the auto-dim to stay on until you stop, or it will blink for a few seconds before eventually staying on. Replacing the clear front lens is a chore too, as to remove the black plastic "bezel" you'll need to use a flathead screwdriver to push down on some of the plastic tabs, which are almost impossible to push far enough. I can say the lugs on mine are starting to tire and eventually break and I've only changed the script lens maybe 5 times in a year and a half. My battery died fairly quickly (within two weeks while just sitting in my room) when I stopped using the range hood in favor of a conveyor belt. If I had gotten this cap for free I probably wouldn't have noticed these flaws, but since I paid for it through tuition I wish the school would have gone for something else, even if it was a little more expensive. For about the same price, you can get a conveyor hood and plug-in automatic shade. The conveyor belt looks more spacious and you look cooler.
