I wanted to upgrade my security system but I had a very limited choice as I had some prerequisites. Well, this one was one of the few that fit into that category. As for the durability of this product, time will tell, but so far everything seems fine. Pros: 1) The DVR has a BNC (CVBS) video output (there are very few but I needed it to connect to an RF modulator) 2) Connects to both analog (CVBS) cameras and IP (ONVIF ) cameras 3) Connects to your laptop directly via LAN without external service (just enter its IP address in the browser) mobile application or My Cloud service on PC without additional DNS service Cons: 1) I wish the Box (housing) would be compared to slightly larger older DVR is 1/4, afraid of overheating 2) Monitoring (via LAN or Internet) next to HD has a lousy substream for SD, looks very bad (only 352x240p) 3) If You are unfamiliar with basic network protocols, there is not enough information in the manual for a successful setup its limited disk space 5) Finally, PC monitoring only works through Internet Explorer, but there is a workaround using IE tab extension for Chrome.
