No instructions in the box but there is a link to instructions on the manufacturer's website. You can also find it here: (.) Installation is easy and it is as customizable as you want. On my 2011 Avalanche, the shorter screws were long enough to use, but they come with longer ones if you have a really thick mirror neck. Used for a few days, hasn't moved, wobbled, etc. A few buttons on my radar detector are mounted to the rear, but they slide down and reach easily. Of course, there is no excuse for not seeing/hearing something explode.
