It didn't penetrate the crack, it just stayed on the surface

It stayed on the surface without penetrating the crack, eventually "healing" in the form of a drop on the glass (the nice little one Blade of knife in paper removes it easily enough - doesn't seem difficult even when healed Unfortunately a waste.
