This 27 inch Dell monitor has a great picture. Tiny fonts are very clear and easy to read. The colors are accurate and very appealing. Viewing angles are excellent, no bad pixels. At a frequency of 60 Hz, everything is smooth. I'm sure you can find monitors with smaller bezels, but those bezels are too small for me. And you can rotate the screen 90 degrees to use it in portrait mode! The monitor is like an active USB-C hub for your laptop. I connected the monitor to my printer, my webcam, a USB dongle for my USB Logitech wireless mice, and one or two other peripherals. Then I connect a USB-C cable from the monitor to my M1 Macbook Air. This cable powers my Mac, transmits the video signal from my Mac to the monitor, and allows my Mac to communicate with other devices connected to the monitor. I don't have to connect anything to my Macbook. I previously had a Dell 24" 4K monitor, 2015 model which has served me well for 6 years. It still works but I have donated it to a local college. The new U2720Q is a significant upgrade in every way, to be expected of a newer product versus an older product. It only cost me $100 more than a 24" Dell 4K monitor at the time. Money well spent for my needs. There are very few downsides. The main thing IMHO is the unpredictability of the price. For a long time it was around $675.I put it in my cart so I would be more likely to see the price drop.Eventually the price dropped to $525 and then I bought it. A week later the price was $550 and now as I write this it's $999!So my advice is to put it in your cart and wait for the price to drop to $500-$550.The connectors , to the Si e Connect your devices are located on the bottom of the monitor. It's easy to disconnect cables, but difficult to connect them because you can't see the port you plug them into. Unless you're plugging and unplugging something from your monitor very often, it's not a big deal. What else? It doesn't have built-in speakers. That's a plus for me, especially since my computer's external speakers sound much better than any speakers built into monitors. The only downside is that when you connect your iPad to this monitor via HDMI to watch a movie or do other audio-related activities, you should note that the iPad transmits sound and image through the HDMI cable and the iPad does not transmit audio either can output to devices other than Bluetooth speakers or headphones. It's not the iPad or the monitor, it's the HDMI. If you had a monitor with built-in speakers, you could output the image and sound from your laptop, iPad, or other device to watch movies, YouTube videos, and more without having to find a workaround to get sound. It doesn't matter to me, but you need to know if you want the monitor to play movies over an HDMI connection. No monitor is perfect. This one is damn close. Highly recommended but don't spend too much on it, wait for the price to drop.
