Review on Rosewill RSV-L4500U Rackmount Server Chassis: 15 3.5” HDD Capacity, 6 Front 120mm & 2 Rear 80mm Fans, USB 3.0 & USB 2.0, Front Panel Lock & Key by Thomas Landis

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Large enough to fit a 360mm liquid cooling system into a mid-panel fan. Some modding is needed.

Edited: Fans are really dangerous, I've replaced them all. Some modding is needed. Also known as drilling holes in a metal bracket. (PS I hate RGB but it came with a cooler) Why didn't Rosewill make those holes themselves? Cons: If it had no fans at all I would give it 5 stars. I highly recommend replacing any internal fans as they are powered directly from the PSU via an old-school 4-pin 12V connector, which is unsafe. (see other fire review, I don't doubt the other review) Why put such crappy fans in there? There are no fans better than what was inside. Notes: Any fans in my photos are not true Corsair, BeQuiet, or Silent Wings fans. 3 This is a very large/long case. An 18" SATA cable barely reaches some drives and may cause stress, bad pins and drive failure. I strongly recommend a 1m SATA cable for the server. At least for the hard drive in the cell on the far right. If you don't have many of them, put them in the leftmost cell. (when looking at the front of the case)

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging
