Being new to machine embroidery I decided to buy this inexpensive thread to learn and practice. I have THE Dream Machine Innov XV8500D and I have no problem with this thread. It's shiny, doesn't chip, not as thick and durable as the brands we know, but I use it to learn or try. You can take a black marker and write the number and color on the side/bottom of the thread, e.g. thread number sticker below. So instead of picking up every thread and checking the number you see, just look sideways, trust me, it will make your life easier. This thread is not included with the wooden spool holder and must be purchased separately. Also the thread in the box is not in the order color/number. The color chart attached to the thread is incomprehensible to me. Let's say the numbers 600 to 700 belong to the violet family, but then there are 804 lavender and 810 lilac. So if you sort them by color, you might want to sort them by number because that wouldn't make any sense. well :/ as they say, every car is different, i like this thread.
