I suspect my device is defective. But you may still find this information useful. After each connection, the default volume on my Android device was set to 100%. I didn't realize it at first and it almost blew my mind. I am a professional software developer. I would set the default to no more than 50%. The Soundcore application performed a firmware update that reported successful completion. I beg to differ. My machine sounded tinny, VERY TOO HIGH. Regardless of the preset selected, bass response was sorely lacking. My device could not handle lower frequencies properly. The audio was distorted at best. Sorry Anker, but in my professional opinion, speakers connected to a device that acts as a computer should NOT be able to handle EQ AT ALL. This is a task for the original device. Otherwise, conflicts arise that undermine both systems. As a result, my $30 LG headset outperforms your more expensive headset. . I think I'll stick with it and forget the headphones. Headphone manufacturers read this: An open invitation to change your mind. Hope you all are lucky.
