In general we love this jacket. Bought a size 14-16 for my son who is about 4ft 9" and 100lbs. As other reviewers have said, it takes little work. No problem, because we ordered the right size based on the child's height, not their age. High quality. Soft fleece lining extends the entire jacket: sleeves, back, front, hood. Super thick and warm. Cons: Note the sharp zipper at the top of the neck. Other reviewers have warned about this, but I didn't realize it until I put the jacket on. The top 2 zip points (on the neck and chin) are literally razor sharp. If my son moves his head quickly while doing this, he may injure his face. Before giving him the jacket I used a nail file to try and soften the edges of the zipper. It seemed to work. Just keep an eye on it! Otherwise it is a super comfortable and warm jacket.
