We have a wooden four poster bed frame that gets high enough after a 17 inch mattress, a box spring mattress and a 4 inch memory mattress topper foam was placed on it. Due to the height of the bed, the bed linen did not cover the box spring. I didn't like how the box spring bed looked on such a beautiful piece of furniture, but the ruffle on the bed didn't work due to the setting. In addition, our bedding is very clean and minimalist. I'm not a big fan of bright florals or geometric patterns, so for the bedding I made very simple things to soften the ornate nature of the furniture. (I didn't choose it. It belonged to my fiancé before we moved in together.) So finding this convenient solution to cover the spring block was PERFECT. It's easy to put on and take off to do laundry as you don't have to take the mattress off, which is something I absolutely hate about cleaning bed ruffles. He stays where he is. Pulling down onto the box spring is a lot easier with two people, but it's definitely not impossible to do it yourself. I liked this solution for our bed. It's simple, elegant and clean.
