great hiking monopod/stick

I added a gopro mount to the stick and used it for 360 photos and videos while hiking. The cane fits nicely on the outside of my backpack and stretches to a longer length than I need for normal purposes. The extra length comes in handy for 360 photos like the one attached, as it gives me more height to take 360 degree photos of tiny planets. Since I use it for both my walking stick and monopod, the only issue I found was the tip of the mandrel. It comes with a rubber tip, which I usually screw into the ground, and a metal spike, which is good for off-road hiking. I used it to climb a mountain to see a volcano in Iceland. It worked, but kept getting wobbly. I just kept making it tighter. I've since added a rubber washer to hold it in place when using the spiked tip. I haven't used it upside down, but note that it is designed so that the 1/4" camera mount on the top can be unscrewed. and placed below. That means it can be a very long selfie stick if you wish. If you have a 3/8" tripod adapter, you can even make it a tripod extension because there are 3/8" screw holes on both ends. Another note: the carrying case that comes with the monopod is a bit long, but since the stick fits neatly in my backpack, there's no need to use it.
