Very versatile monopod

This monopod is lightweight and very compact. I have a sturdy short table tripod that I attach to the base of it and I use it in and around my house instead of the two large tripods I have as the combo is much smaller to get under my feet. I recommend using it with a stable table tripod. Installation is quick and the locking mechanism of the sections seems solid. In terms of price and performance, this is excellent value for money.

Pros
  • Ideal for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Durability

Neat product. on tripods and monopods

Not as stable as a tripod but that's not why people buy monopods. Monopods are designed for portability and convenience. I bought this to use as a walking stick to mount and use my camera on for more stability when shooting. These needs are adequately satisfied. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because there's nothing to cover the screw attachment when not in use and while this thing seems pretty solid it's also very light and I wonder how she will hold up well. prolonged use.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Expensive

Never leave home without this!

Even with today's great digital cameras, you'll still find times when a little more support really helps. It's small enough to always have on hand and cheap enough that there's no excuse not to have it in your kit! I have a 323 quick release plate on the monopod and a mounting plate permanently attached to the base of my camera. After a few seconds I have a stabilized platform. I bought a couple of these plates and attached them to tripods, various mounting brackets, etc. A RELIABLE PURCHASE!

Pros
  • Top marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Frequency

Light weight, good looking etc but I wouldn't recommend it for anything other than VERY light use. With just a little trial use, I found the bottom or 2 to flex a lot just trying to keep it stable with a mid-weight DSLR. I figured that with a lot of use it would probably bend and become unusable. So I removed an asterisk for 2 thin and weak areas. Then I subtract a star for the screw caps. They do the job and run smoothly, but unlocking/relocking requires a lot of twisting and there are just…

Compact, stable and well made monopod

The workmanship of this monopod is excellent. All sections go from smooth to hard in less than 1/2 turn of rubber-coated aluminum barrel adjusters. The leg locks work much better than other twist locks I've used and they are as good or even better than the cam locks over the thumb, which is great. The first thing I did was apply locktight to the strands of the elastic leg to hold it in place. I especially like the reversible camera mount that offers 1/4 and 3/8 sizes. Thread depth can also be…

Broken on first attempt to assemble

Broken on first attempt to assemble this item. The mechanism that holds the first and second parts of the tripod body together relies on these very fragile curved pieces of white plastic. The photo shows that they are contained in one of the parts of the tripod and protrude over the edge. In this case both are broken so you only see small white lines where they should be attached. These things are thin as a fingernail and there is no way to glue them to make the tripod stable. It is not…

great hiking monopod/stick

I added a gopro mount to the stick and used it for 360 photos and videos while hiking. The cane fits nicely on the outside of my backpack and stretches to a longer length than I need for normal purposes. The extra length comes in handy for 360 photos like the one attached, as it gives me more height to take 360 degree photos of tiny planets. Since I use it for both my walking stick and monopod, the only issue I found was the tip of the mandrel. It comes with a rubber tip, which I usually screw…

One flaw with this product that is easily fixed

I ordered one of these monopods to replace a carbon fiber monopod that I had been using for years until it recently broke. Found this at Revain and the price was attractive. After receiving it and trying it out at a family member's sporting event, I noticed that the lock washer that clamps the camera (or whatever you have) to the mounting screw on the stand is a bit loose. Used the monopod again over the next week and the disc fell out a couple of times. When the game was over, I noticed that…
