Review on Experience the Thrill of Big Screen Black Jack 21 by Bryan Hill

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Good toy, bad learning device

The device itself is well made. The display is high-contrast and easy to read, the buttons are pleasant to the touch and placed sensibly. The problem is software related. The biggest problem is that this machine has a dealer stand set at 16 (hard or soft) instead of 17, making the machine useless for practicing basic strategy. There are a few more features of the software. A player with three or more cards of 21 wins immediately - against 21 the dealer does not really go. That). You are only allowed to double down on a 10 or an ace, a rule rarely seen in shoe games. Ace-9 shows as "10" instead of "20" but correctly calculates the bet when stopped. And due to screen size limitations, you must be on every six card hand; Luckily so did the croupier. All in all a good toy but not a serious blackjack simulator.
