Review on Scotch Heavy Shipping Packaging Clear: Superior Protection for Your Valuable Shipments by Aaron Ward

Revainrating 4 out of 5

A few minor issues and one very annoying one.

Good tape, although it loses its tack on cardboard over time. It will go away after a few months so it's best to just use it for shipping, or if it's needed longer make sure it completely bypasses the box and sticks to itself. It doesn't seem to lose its stickiness by sticking to itself. Even on cardboard where it has lost its grip, it shows no signs of yellowing and is as clear as applied. The dispenser is a bit odd, there is a cardboard label that needs to be torn off first. Finding the end of the tape takes some fiddling as there is tape behind the tab and you will need your fingernail to start the tape roll (the tab is useless). Where does the tape go - under the big ledges or above? I find it best to use tabs as they grab the end of the tape as you use it and prevent it from sticking back to the roll. All these are small things, the biggest problem was the dispenser. When you hold it, the sides press against the tape and prevent it from coming off the roll. I think this is intentional to make it easier to rip off the tape, but you'll have to learn to just hold it at the very front (not very secure) to peel off the tape, and then take it closer to the back to rip it off. .
