Reading reviews you will see many stuck housings that cannot be disassembled and a broken filter 'mounting bracket'. All earned grades. Please note that this block is no longer in production, probably due to all the issues with it. The filter itself works fine, the housing does not. To install the filter, lubricate the threads with a good quality silicone grease such as Danco. It does not get into the water, and if it does, then into the filter material. The threads MUST be liberally lubricated with silicone grease to install the reservoir. I mean so liberal that a Democrat would blush. This is the only way you can be sure to get rid of it in the future. turn twice and unscrew, re-grease and reassemble. If the filter rod is broken at the top of the housing, insert a regular screwdriver and twist to remove. Also coat the rubber o-ring of the housing so it can be rotated and removed easily. Take a closer look at the filters, price varies a lot, Kleen Water sells a comp filter, usually at a lower price.
