No slow mode at all. Modes 2 to 5 are stable. Mode 6 is called SLO-GLO and is probably the closest thing to slow, but basically it's constant for a second, then quickly changes to a new color, stays constant for a second, transitions, repeats. Something seems wrong there. Mode 7, called breathing, feels sharp, colors change abruptly but in small increments, once 4 times per second. Modes 8 and 9 are called SLO-GLO, but they are exactly the same as mode 10, i.e. Flash, more like a seizure inducing seizure. Mode 11 is called wave and just doesn't work. The remote control works with infrared. So if, like most people, you plug in lights under and behind a tree, you'll spend a lot of time trying to figure out where the remote works. I definitely do NOT recommend these lamps. Modes 5, 8 and 9 are probably the only useful modes, but 8 and 9 are broken! If they haven't even bothered to test a bunch of lights before going into production, imagine how long these things are going to last.
