Good fit, keeps the back warm and even fits well under a blazer if needed for extra warmth and about the same volume as a sweater. Yes, it's more of a dark charcoal than true black, but it goes well with gray or black, the flash is black. An additional feature and a pleasant surprise are straight pockets on the inside of each front part, as well as 2 zipped pockets on the front. The price is great (I compare it to LL Bean and even Patagonia, not the cheap stuff). I am very happy with it and am considering 1 or 2 more colors.
