It's really effective! My 4 month old pup learned to use them to signal potty breaks for a few weeks. We would just pick her up and bang her head or paw and say "potty" or "outside" out loud before opening the door. Now she uses it every time. You should see her screw the shit up if we don't act fast enough. It doubles as LONG entertainment. NOTE: You will only receive one strand. Based on the product images, I expected two the first time.
