I just moved into a very small apartment and hung it at the entrance to the hallway leading to my bedroom and bathroom to give some privacy. That way, when I have company, they can't easily look into these rooms from the living room. Also, I've always dreamed of a string curtain since I was a kid! I loved the look of this particular curtain in the photos and my favorite color is purple and this product did not disappoint! It looks exactly like the photos in the listing. It's a beautiful light purple. I originally ordered three but wanted a thicker curtain so I ordered two more. The color is a little different, it seems that only on thick puffy strands I got three dark ones and two light ones. It didn't bother me much. I just alternated them; dark, light, dark, light, dark and it looks like a pattern. In general, it is not so immediately noticeable. You can see the options if you look closely at my photos. Some people complain about the large difference in length between individual curtains. You can see in my photos that although not perfectly straight, all of my fives are fortunately generally the same length. All plump strings are much longer while lighter strings vary slightly. You can just cut them to make them even. I decided I liked the way I looked so I left them as they were. I used a tension rod to hang them. If you have more than five, I recommend going for a thicker rod. The fives on the thinner rod I bought are a bit heavy and bend the rod a bit. If I decide to get more for a tighter look, I'll swap out the bar for a thicker one. As an additional decoration, I bought two purple tassels made in India and hung them on either side of the string curtain. I have a lifelong obsession with tassels and fringes! I took photos of both sides of my curtain. A few more notes. If you have pets, make sure they don't chew them, which can be dangerous. I was afraid my cats wouldn't leave them alone, but surprisingly they stayed. They also smell slightly chemically when you take them out of the packaging. Over time it will disappear. They are from China so be patient with the wait. I think it took me about three weeks to receive the first order I placed and about a month to receive the second order. I didn't photograph a single star in the long wait because it's normal for something to come straight from the other side of the planet. I am enthusiastic about these thread curtains and can only recommend them!
